A/Prof. Marcus Carey AM is an Australian urogynaecologist based in Melbourne with extensive experience in robotic, laparoscopic and vaginal pelvic floor surgery. His current research interest is using autologous fascia lata as an alternative to synthetic mesh in female pelvic floor surgery. He is involved in teaching and research and has authored many peer-reviewed publications and book chapters. He has presented at national and international conferences as well as being an invited key-note speaker and has demonstrated live pelvic floor surgery. A/Prof. Carey has experience in teaching, training and clinical research in low-income and middle-income countries.
