Dr Marcus Carey is a urogynaecologist based in Melbourne, Australia. Marcus is the Head of Unit for both the Urogynaecology and Gynaecology 3 units at the Royal Women’s Hospital, Melbourne. Marcus undertakes private urogynaecology practice at Frances Perry House and The Epworth Freemason’s Hospital, Melbourne. Marcus is most interested in research focusing on improving surgical (vaginal, laparoscopic and robotic) and conservative methods for treating pelvic organ prolapse. Marcus has spent time operating and teaching in Ethiopia and Nepal, and is currently developing a non-surgical prolapse management program for low-resource settings.
