Dr Cario is the founder and Director of the Sydney Women’s Endosurgery Centre (SWEC) and the St George Urodynamic Centre at St George Hospital in Sydney .He is a senior consultant at St George Hospital,St George Private Hospital, Hurstville Private Hospital and Macquarie University Private Hospital. He is also a senior lecturer at the University of NSW. His special interests are in advanced Laparoscopic and Robotic surgery and urogynaecology.
