A/Prof Felix Chan is a certified gynaecological oncologist and is currently the Director of Gynaecological Oncology and Robotic Surgery at Macquarie University Hospital. He is a leading gynaecological robotic surgeon in Australia. He performed the first single site robotic hysterectomy in Australia in 2013 and pioneered multiple techniques in robotic gynaecological surgery. A/Prof Chan specialises in advanced laparoscopic, robotic, vaginal and open surgery for the treatment of gynaecologic malignancies and complex gynaecological problems. He has served as a senior lecturer for UNSW, associated professor for Western Sydney University and a tutor in surgical skill for RANZCOG. He has been a nominee for Australian of the year in 2009, 2011 and 2012. He was the winner of the Paul Harris Fellowship 2012, the vocational excellence award from the Australian Rotary and Gold Companion for the Rotary Australia 2012. He is the Medical Director of Eggtober Foundation raises fund for Gynaecological Cancer research. A/Prof Chan is also a member of the NSW Doctors Orchestra and Choir.
