Sarah is a specialist Gynaecologist who completed her AGES fellowship in 2016. She has worked at Te Whatu Ora Counties Manukau since the start of her training in 2009, and for the last 9 years as a specialist, as well as her private practice at Ascot Womens Clinic in Auckland. For the last 7 years she has co-led the complex endometriosis team at CMDHB. Her passion and previous research interest is in improving access to obstetric and gynaecological care particularly for Māori and Pacific women. To that end she introduced treatment outpatient hysteroscopy to CMDHB, which in turn led to her current project bringing gynaecology clinics, then hoping to bring hysteroscopic and colposcopic clinics into community settings such as Marae. She is on the Clinical Advisory Group for Endometriosis New Zealand, and sits on the RANZCOG Council as the chair of He Hono Wahine Committee, and the deputy Chair of Te Kāhui Oranga ō Nuku ( the NZ committee).
