Shami is AGES (AATP) graduate fellow and has completed international fellowships in Oxford and Bordeaux in advanced laparoscopic surgery concentrating on endometriosis. She leads the Gynaecology simulation training at the Royal Women’s Hospital in Melbourne. She is an AGES and RANZCOG training and research supervisor and senior clinical lecturer for the University of Melbourne. She is the recipient of numerous research grants and is principal researcher for several clinical trials and is completing a Master’s program in Clinical Trials through the London School of Health and Tropical Medicine. Shami has recently been appointed as an ordinary director to the board of AGES.
