Dr Supuni Kapurubandara is a Senior Staff Specialist at Westmead Hospital and a Senior Lecturer at the University of Sydney. Following her 2016 AGES fellowship, she developed a deep clinical and research interest in endometriosis, surgery including vNOTES, and pelvic pain.
Currently a PhD candidate at UNSW, her research focuses on improving the diagnosis of pelvic floor myalgia. A former AGES trainee board member and current Chair of the AGES Pelvic Floor Special Interest Group (SIG), Dr Kapurubandara is a passionate educator and speaker at local and international conferences. She is dedicated to advancing gynaecological surgery through innovation, research, and a patient-centred approach to complex pain.
