Dr Supuni Kapurubandara is a gynaecologist and advanced laparoscopic surgeon (AGES AATP) based at Westmead Hospital, NSW, with clinical expertise in minimally invasive surgery, pelvic pain, and vaginal natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery (vNOTES). She is a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Sydney and is currently completing a PhD on pelvic pain through UNSW.
Dr Kapurubandara was awarded an AGES Travelling Fellowship to train in vNOTES, which led to her pioneering its introduction to Australia and New Zealand in 2019. She remains actively engaged in global vNOTES training and research, with a strong commitment to supporting its safe and evidence-based adoption to allow innovation and improve outcomes for patients.
