Born in Milan on April 9, 1958, she graduated with honours in Medicine at the University of Milan on March 14, 1985 and specialized in Obstetrics and Gynecology with full marks on October 30,1989. Assistant Gynecologist at San Filippo Neri Hospital in Rome from 1989 to 1996. She started performing laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery in 1995. Since then she attended several Training Courses with the most important surgeons in Europe and since 1998 she has been invited as Speaker or Tutor to quite a lot of national and international Congresses and Courses. She has been qualified as “expert laparoscopist” by the SEGi (Italian Society of Gynecological Endoscopy) in 2003. Consultant gynaecologic laparoscopist at “Belcolle” Hospital in Viterbo since July 2000 and Co-responsible of the Gynecological Endoscopic Division at “Villa Valeria” Clinic in Rome from 2002 to 2007. “Villa Valeria” is being accredited as Referral Centre for Gynecologic Endoscopic Surgery by the Accreditation Council of SEGi (Italian Society of Gynecologic Endoscopy). Co-responsible since 2008 of the Endoscopic Gynecological Division at Nuova Villa Claudia Hospital in Rome. Dr. Sizzi has been teaching laparoscopy in many courses both in Italy and abroad. Permanent professor during the Indo-German Training Courses at the University of Kiel, Germany. She is peer-reviewer of the Abstracts of the Conferences of the SLS, of the International Journal of Medical Robotic and Computer Asssisted Surgery and other publications. Dr. Sizzi is Publisher and Senior Editor Assistant of the On-Line Video Journal of Surgical and Gynecologic Endoscopy www.thetrocar.com. An online Journal of Endoscopy that is nowadays considered a point of reference especially for Asian doctors (India, China, Singapore) and whose articles are borrowed by www.OBGyn.net, the most seen website regarding gynecology. Dr. Sizzi has been elected in the Board of the European Society of Gynecologic Endoscopy. For this Society she was in charge of keeping the relationship with the SLS, (Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, www.sls.org). She is also the Vice President of the Italian Chapter of SLS, an Italian branch of this multidisciplinary society. In 2007 she has been elected as Member of the International Advisory Board of SLS. For the same Society she is now Permanent Scientific Presentation Abstract Reviewer. Since 2008 she is an elected Board Member of ISGE (International Society of Gynecological Endoscopy) and she is now Editor of the ISGE Newsletter.
